Crucial Information & Instruction
A large percentage of TRiO program participants are students with disabilities.
Understanding the unique needs of students with disabilities, and understanding
how best to serve them, significantly increases the retention and graduation
rates of TRiO participants. These skills & knowledge also add to the
overall quality of the educational supports offered by TRiO programs for
all participants.
Immerse Yourself in Professional Development
During this intensive and highly interactive three-day institute, the participants
will receive in-depth information on a broad variety of disability-specific
issues. A highlight of the training is an entire day focusing on information
about different types of learning disabilities as well as information about
how to work with students with learning disabilities. Attendees will leave
the institute with the knowledge and resources necessary to begin implementing
appropriate, improved, and comprehensive services to their students with
disabilities immediately!
Complete syllabi, trainer bios, and session descriptions are available for your review on the Internet at www.ahead.org in the AHEAD Center for Professional Development section.
“Great training! Vital to our jobs. Great practical information to take
back home and put into action. Made me very aware of how much I still have
to learn.
I should have taped the sessions because there was so much that was new info
for me!... THANK YOU”
